I'd just woken up around ten thirty or eleven in the morning Pacific time and after getting breakfast together I turned on the TV and CBC Newsworld were showing the smoking crater at ground zero. Still having no idea what the fuck was going on I flipped through all the other channels and they were ALL showing the same coverage. It was then I realized that something major was going on and turned to watch CNN and learned that two planes had crashed into the World Trade Center. After that I remember phoning my best friend to ask him if he was watching the same thing and he said he had been for the past hour or so. I went over to his place shortly after noon and we watched CNN for the rest of the day. It was a pretty surreal day even for someone living in Vancouver, watching what was happening to my American brothers and sisters.
