What is your least favorite episode?

strikesback5

Lieutenant Junior Grade
I have seen all of seasons 1 and 2 and part of season 3. I am currently watching "Meridian" (on the last few minutes of it). Meridian is my least favorite episode, it is pure gay. I mean really, you know an episode is bad if the cast and crew themselves say "this is a horrible episode" (which they did).

Tie between Melora, Fascination, Time's Orphan, Resurrection, The Assignment and Chrysalis. They are all unwatchable hence I cannot choose which of them is worst.

Meridian has an amazing B story that saves it from the abyss of being never worth watching although the A story is indeed as abominable as all the aforementioned episodes (just fast forward all the Jadzia scenes in Meridian and it becomes a 10/10 :techman:).

About almost everything of Season 1... except for its final two and its first two episodes (if you count "Emissary" as a two-parter).

Second Sight made me want to bash my skull inwards at times, though Meridian is the king of failure.

Epic Failure=Storyteller, Melora, Move Along Home, "3rd Shap".....wTF is that about?

Failure=all Chief O disaster episodes (save Visionary) and the Jack Pack's

Close to unwatchable=Meridian, Let Him W/out Sin, 2nd Sight, Heart of Stone (I can't stand this one anymore)

Let He Who is Without Sin. Not only does it have no redeeming characteristics, but it took place during DS9's amazing 5th season so it stands out more.

See, I never understood the hate for The Storyteller. Yeah, the A story kind of sucks, but I always enjoyed the B Story. Jake and Nog were always an interesting pair and I enjoyed their dynamic with Varis Sul. I even think Move Along Home has its merits, especially for Quark who really seemed to rise above his stereotype as greedy.

My least favorite episode, would have to be The Passenger. For the life of me, I couldn't bring myself to care about the story at all.

I agree about The Storyteller. I didn't really care for the A-plot, but the story about Jake and Nog trying to get the Bajoran girl's attention was cute. I didn't remember it that well, but upon rewatching it recently I found great pleasure in seeing how they want to impress her. There's also a nice moment when Odo chases them off the upper Promenade section but smiles in their direction when they are gone. (Gotta make an animated avatar out of that one of these days.)

I must also admit to enjoying Move Along Home a little bit. Much like in the rather brilliant movie Cube they found interesting ways to use the same room over and over and thus making it seem like a really huge labyrinth.

As for my least favorite episode ... hm, I have to think about that a little longer.

Meridian is the absolute worst that comes to mind. Runners-up are
Let He Who is Without Sin...
The Storyteller, and
Every Mirror Universe Episode in the Show

Even 'Crossover'? It was awesome!

And 'Move Along Home' is still my sister's favorite DS9 episode. Go figure.

Really. I luv when Kira's all slutty and everything. That would bring a boner to Franciscan monk in 4.5 seconds

I think "Profit and Lace" is the worst episode of DS9, perhaps even the worst episode of all Star Trek. I found it appallingly sexist.

(Dis)honorable mentions go to: "Badda-Bing, Badda-Bang", for being stupid and pointless, and "Meridian". However, "Meridian" was saved by a great B-plot and some amazing directorial work by Jonathan Frakes. (The A plot was pure torture, though.)

To style-bite Photon...

Next To Unwatchable: Let He..., Second Sight, Melora, The Passenger
Mostly just dull, 'meh' episodes with one or two redeemable things that prevent me from entirely skipping

Fail: The Muse, Emperor's New Cloak, If Wishes...
I usually can't be bothered to watch these ones, but if I do have to, there's at least a couple enjoyable character moments.

Epic Fail: Ferengi Love Songs, Move Along Home, Profit & Lace
Gads, but are these ever a chore to sit through. Just stupid, dull, pointless nonsense.

Stupendous Fail: Meridian
As above, only more so. Flat comedy, flat romance, flat flatness. Made worse by the fact Brooks' sincere 'goodbye' scene was actually rather good, and TOTALLY wasted when anyone with a smidgen of foresight can see Dax ain't really going away.

So Bad It's Great: Fascination
Yes, that's right -I like this episode! It's loony. I laugh all the time when I watch it. Guiltiest of pleasures!
