My dreams increasingly have soundtracks. This morning I was having a soundtrack dream to a particular song.. the frustrating ones are when it's the most awesome music ever and I are making it all up and when I wake up I can't hold onto the notes. Which would totally revolutionize modern classical music if I could

If my dreams had soundtracks, it'd be Philip Glass.

I'm neither afraid or fond of dreaming. I'm pretty much indifferent to it.

Beside, I very rarely dream (or actually, I very rarely remember my dreams). When I do, most of the time I realize it's a dream, so I lack any emotionally involvement. I did the whole "lucid dreaming" thing a few times (mostly "watching" myself in the dream, but a couple of times I even took control of the dream and made stuff happen at will), but in the end I just lose interest and either wake up and get up or fall again into dreamless sleep.

I guess I'm quite prosaic.

That's usually what happen to me. Well, except the fully rested part. (But that's more a matter of too few hours of sleep and too many diapers to change...) Thankfully, I can fall asleep almost in any situation and in a matter of minutes.

Same here. I love the surrealism and juxtaposition of ideas. Quite a few of my stories and poems have been inspired by dreams. And the occasional lucid dream is a real bonus. I wish I could learn to do that at will.

MLB, you need to face into this. Be an explorer of the inner world. Like any explorer, some of the journey will be scary, some of it will be great. LAck of sleep's gonna kill ya.

I have an irrational fear of whales.

Star Trek IV scared the hell out of me.

    Fear Of Triscuits!

ETA: As a Taylor Swift fan fear of the number 13 would be ridiculous. :p

Speaking of Star Trek based fear.

My worst Star Trek based fear, is watching a marathon of DS9. :p

Watching VOY will have the opposite effect on me . :)

I don't know, watching a marathon both sounds awesome to me. :bolian:

I have a true phobia of mold. I know it is completely irrational. It makes me panic, though I'm getting a little better with it, and can even throw moldy things away under certain circumstances (primarily lots and lots of barriers between me and the actual moldy substance).

Same. I wouldn't mind having to watch any kind of Trek marathon. If someone wanted to torture me, they'd have to make me watch reality tv shows or something.

I am also afraid of heights. I am sort of afraid of some types of insects but I'm getting much better with that.

I've had a recurring dream for years that I will die in a car. The dream usually involves my car accelerating to high speed, but the dream ends before a crash occurs. I'm not so worried about myself, but I don't want harm to come to my family or others.

I totally agree! Been there 12 years ago, still got the health probs resulting from it. So whatever you do, never ever under no circumstances get too less sleep! Seriousely.

I have fear of being abandoned by the people I care about, either by intention or unintentional forgetfulness. I know where this fear started: with the realization that family members can hurt you and not be sorry.

it's always those who know us best who can hurt us worst. They know our weaknesses. Yet it'd be fatal to completely stop trusting people in order to never again get hurt. You'd miss meeting a lot of very nice people and making great friends.
