I was wondering what everyone's favorite series of books are? I am thinking that the DS9-R may come out on top here but I may be surprised. I will allow multiple votes to be cast.

DS9-PF (and thank you for using 'post finale' instead of 'relaunch' in the poll) and Titan

Yea Rosalind...I was going to use DS9-R and actually did in my initial post (see above) but as I created the poll I thought better of it! :)

Good to see Starfleet Corps of Engineers being dissed once again....

^ Thanks, Semah! But I was referring to the S.C.E.'s absence from the poll entirely.

Vanguard, which hasn't disappointed me yet. However, I have yet to read the post-finale DS9 books (beyond Avatar anyway), the Gorkon/Klingon Empire series, Stargazer, most of New Frontier, or SCE (beyond Have Tech, Will Travel).

Just like TOS and pre-relaunch TNG/DS9/Vgr.
Well, one might argue that those are less "series" than independent stories (at least in comparisson to the serial nature of the other series mentioned). But SCE/COE is the only one that is sorely missing from the list.

Sorry KRAD but when I created the poll I had not thought entirely through what or how many choices I needed and so I chose the number ten. And thus when I started filling everything in I thought of those I most enjoyed. Not saying I didn't or haven't enjoyed SCE because I do. No intentional oversight was in mind though and that is one reason I put the category "OTHER". So, it could be reasonably argued that I did not dis SCE at all! :)

^ Yeah, except you listed everything that could be considered a series except for SCE, so that's not an argument that I -- in my admittedly biased position -- is going to buy. :)

Well, if I could go back and correct that I would KRAD but apparently the system does not allow it. It's an unforgivable oversight on my part and I take full responsibility!

I put in one vote - Vanguard.

I love DS9-PF, but... it's really no contest.

Tev is not pleased. The great one's snout is shaking in fury! You'd best get a bucket of Apple Ranchers and his pal Bartholomew Faulwell to calm him down quickly!

In that case, Ktrek, you get to choose the weapon of your demise: either the wet noodle, or the comfy chair! CHOOSE!

Hmmmm....In that case I shoose the wet noodle! It seems less...personal!

I've said it many times and will probably say it again: The DS9 Relaunch is the best conceived and best executed series of novels I've ever seen. On top of that, I had my doubts that DS9 could enjoyably translate from one medium (TV) to another (novels).:cardie:

I heartily recommend the entire run of books to anyone who loves Deep Space 9. I've introduced the two-part Avatar to other folks with the provision that if the person didn't like it, he or she could tell me I'm an idiot. So far, I've had no takers on the "idiot' thing, but I have been thanked for introducing them to the series.:klingon:

And that's the truth.:bolian:
