What is your best investment ever?

Playstation 3. It just keeps getting more and more awesome.

Amen to that, brother. Have you checked out a game called MLB 10 The Show yet? The graphics.......:drool:

As too the original question.....My best investment every year winds up being my AAA Plus card. I always buy the most expensive one I can afford and I always get my money back and then some. If not through the roadside assistance program, then through travel discounts, excellent free maps, or their travel agency. Some years I really make out like a bandit. In 2000-2001, I had a car towed twice for a total of 80 miles. One of those tows was 75 of it. No charge at all.

I haven't picked it up, but I saw it on a display at Best Buy. The graphics definitely looked awesome.

I would probably say my best investments have been relationships, with my siblings, etc... I don't have much of a financial brain.

My best investment was the purchase of a 3.6 hectare property in Margaret River, Western Australia in 1999.

I subdivided it two years ago and it returned nearly 7 times it costs (including DA's).

My education.

That was my first thought, as well. I put myself through both college and law school, working the entire time. Took me longer, but was the best investment of time, energy and money I've ever made.

And, on a somewhat lighter note, I'd have to add my dogs are right up there in the investment list. They've cost a small fortune in vet bills, food bills, dog walker bills, in addition to the purchase price, and they occasionally aggravate the dickens out of me ... but there's nothing that will make a bad day melt away or start a morning off better than seeing those 2 happy faces and wagging tails. Seriously.

Tools for work. They save me a lot of aggrevation. You'll be suprised how many computers can be fixed with a hammer.

My house - gone up 50% in value since I bought it five years ago. The housing market here is in a crazy bubble, and it's just dumb luck rather than property investing genius.

I wonder if the house will still be my answer when it (inevitably) all hits the fan here!

Mine would have to be my PSP, I bought it on launch and it has blossomed into a multi use entertainment center.
