What Is This Wall Made From?

One of my favorite movies is Ed Wood's Plan 9 from Outer Space. Believe it or not, I want to know how they made the curved wall of one of the movie's cheesiest sets -- the airplane interior, seen in these images:

The curvature of the wall seems to be too smooth for cardboard, and the amount of curvature in the wall seems too great to be most types of wood. I'm no materials expert or set design expert, though. What do you think the wall was made from?

If it's not cardboard, and I think it is, I think it might be service board which is peg board without the holes. We've found it cuts to odd shapes nicely. Love that shower curtain... and the boom mike shadow. :)

If it's cardboard, then I assume it isn't corrugated. I've never seen that stuff bend "smoothly."

It might be steam-bent wood veneer or thin plywood taken from an existing standing set. Ed Wood was known for scrounging sets and props from whatever sources were available.
