What is the future for this Star Trek timeline. Look!

How accepting is New Spock of his emotions?

Is Kirk closer to being the true Captain Kirk?

And the most important considering the events of the two movies.... Where will this future go? What could occur due to the situation.

Eventually Spock Prime will get bored and a little jealous of the bigger better Enterprise and Spock's relationship with Uhura, and will start trolling the new Enterprise by manipulating threats that he knows about. "Oh, so shiny and powerful and awesome, huh? Well, let's see how you deal with the Doomsday Machine, V'Ger, AND the Whale Probe all at the same time!" :rommie:

I strongly believe trek 3 will be the last time we see this cast. so I hope we get trek novels that focuses on this universe and the ongoing comics still a go.

At least at the level of post-TMP Spock

Chris Pine is being is own version of Kirk, he's not going to mimic Shatner. Thank goodness.

A movie set during the five-year mission is coming, after that, who knows? While I'd love it to spawn a huge Marvel-style universe but if not, I'll be happy with this film trilogy (erm... unless Star Trek 3 sucks. Then I'll bee happy with 2/3rds of it)

As for the stories...

Kirk and Carol have a baby girl. Let's hope the birth scene doesn't mimic the opening of ST'09 too closely (I can see them thinking it would be clever, engineering death scene-style)

Kirk turns evil thanks to his Khan-blood transfusion and Spock has to bring his BFF down, in a reverse "Amok Time" fight.

Or maybe...

The Borg arrive a century early and home in on the Klingon Empire, the Enterprise has to free the entire Borg collective and save the Klingons (thus making peace heroically) before the Borg are done with Kronos and set their sights on Earth. The Borg would be reimagined with machinery replacing body parts, rather than the rubber suits and Uncle Fester makeup of past Borg.
