personally i like pc games and i tried a version of star trek on the net and it was fun. it lets you be on the bridge as the captain.

i dont remember the name.

i hope there is a newer version of it out by now cause graphics as well as game play is important.

games of note..
Star Trek the 25th Anniversary game from 1992
Star Trek Judgement Rites from 1995 (Enhanced CD from 1998)
Star Trek TNG A Final Unity from 1995
Star Trek Starfleet Command from 1999
Star Trek Starfleet Command Volume II Empires at War from 2000
Star Trek Voyager Elite Force from 2000 (and it's expansion set)
Star Trek Starfleet Command Orion Pirates from 2001

Games that others find good..
Star Trek Armada From 2000
Star Trek Armada II From 2001
Starfleet Command III from 2002

And an honorable mention goes to
Star Trek TNG Klingon Honor Guard From 1998

oh i think i remember now. its call bridge commander.

do they still sell that game at the stores?
is there a part 2 out yet?

Bridge Commander was my favorite. It was to me the best trek game I played that simulated what it was like to be a Captain. Still have the CD and with the mods out there it's still fun to play.

I'll have to say the best is Star Trek 25th Anniversary for NES. I used to fling my NES controller across the room because of that thing...

...followed immediately by:
Star Trek Klingon Academy
Star Trek Armada
Star Trek Legacy

(That's right, I put legacy on the list. :p)

No. All the old Activision Trek games are EXTREMELY hard to find now. When Activision lost the Trek license they were ordered by Paramount to recall all copies of the games or face legal action. That's why certain games (Starfleet Command 3, Elite Force) were so hard to find.

There is a thriving mod community for Bridge Commander though if you still have it. http://www.bcfiles.com

Probably Star Trek: Armada and Elite Force 2. I really wanted to love BOTF but the bugs killed it for me over time.

I would have to say

Star Trek Klingon Academy
Star Trek Armada
Starfleet command
to a lesser extend dominion wars

And legacy could of been a great game, but they rush ship it, and make it a horrible horrible game.

Star Trek Voyager: Elite Force (+ Expansion Pack) and Armada are definitely some of the best offerings. Star Trek: ConQuest Online was also a lot of fun too. (you got to be Q and place chess with the ST Universe.)

Legacy is also a lot of fun, but it's buggy.\

Technically it's not a game, but the interactive Star Trek: Borg movie was a fun romp.

The one I created in the link below :)
Video Game: Elite Force
Modded Video Game: Bridge Commander

The modded BC I just don't "get". It seems extremely boring to me, nothing to do but set up battles, fly around and gawk at DS9. The add-on campaign has the worst voice acting I've ever heard, and the first mission was so hard I never got past it. But its worth tracking down a disc on ebay to play the campaign, *if* you can get one for 20-30 dollars with shipping.

By far, 25th and JR have the most "Trek" feel. AFU is similar, with better graphics, but the script isn't nearly as good as the previous two, which is complete with Spock-McCoy banter. Shat is audibly bored in reading his lines here and there, but otherwise it's good stuff. * If you get 25th or JR, make sure its the CD version - the floppy versions have no voice tracks!

BOTF is not worth what it sells for on ebay. It's basically a board game on a computer screen. Endlessly fun if that's your bag.

EF2 is fantastic. EF1 I haven't gotten to yet.

Hidden Evil is a lot better than reputation has it, and the reviews of being able to complete it in a few hours are BS. I like the unique graphics style - Hidden Evil is essentially an adventure game like 25th etc. A great bargain if you're a TNG and adventure game fan. It took me around 12 hours to complete it.

What I'm playing now is "DS9: The Fallen". Really nice game, and nice to be able to run it at max resolution on my circa 2005 PC. It's more of a FPS/Adventure game hybrid than EF2, sort of in the Tomb Raider vein. The levels seem a little visually monotonous/confusing in places, and its lacking Avery Brooks voicing Sisko. Otherwise very cool.

I've played most of them and its:

1). BOTF by a country mile its never been buggy for me... beyond some memory leaks that require a a quick exit and restart the mods are great and the map is always a new challenge

2). Elite Forces is always fun (any quake 3 engine game is!)

3). SFC Series... 3 was nice for the story line the others were disjointed but I like the originals controls

4). Sleeper game... Klingon Academy... if you can grasp the controls and 3d combat its the frickin best space sim you ever played!

also ... BOTF can be easily had without purchasing it... and if you have a copy I highly suggest making backup copies so you always have one... store your original

Its price on ebay is evidence of juist how good that game is...
