Hello all,

I have this meager collection of Star Trek memorabilia that my step-mom has placed me in charge of selling...could any of you lightly approximate what the selling price of this stuff should be? Is ebay the right route to go selling this stuff? The link to the album is at the bottom.

Thanks,
Mike

The short answer is that it's worth as much as you can get someone to pay for it.

The slightly longer version is that eBay is probably your best bet. The plates and the ornaments should do well, but don't hold your breath on the VHS tapes.

And don't try to make the rent all in one sale (in other words, don't overprice your stuff). Some people try that and post completely unreasonable minimum bids.

Be absolutely honest about the condition of each item - any chips, nicks, scratches, tears, etc. must be disclosed, otherwise you'll end up with a mighty angry customer, who won't hesitate to let everybody know that he/she was displeased.

You could get in touch with Warp9, he's trying to replicate the viewing experience from his childhood...

Your VHS Tapes..A 2 Head VCR...a 300 to 75 Ohm matching Transformer and a 1966 vintage RCA TV..

The Hallmark Enterprise is about $100, the plates are worth $30-$50 but no one will buy them, the Takei about $40 and the Shatner about $100.

You won't be able to give the VHS's away but you can write them off your taxes at $14.95 each if you donate them to a library

If you have both the red and blue set of the Impels it's about $25

Mike, don't know if you've ever sold anything on ebay, but right now they have "free listing", which is, when you list something you normally get charged a listing fee. RIght now the promotion running is this: if you list something you wont get charged that fee UNLESS it sells. So, it wouldn't hurt putting them up for auction right now.

What you should do is check "completed listings" ....it will tell you what the item sold for in the last month. That will give you some idea as to whether or not it is worth listing.

And if you can wait, the ornaments go for more money in the fall right up until xmas. now is the worst time to list those.

Should you have any questions regarding listing on ebay, feel free to PM me (if you can, not sure if you are able to PM people seeing as you are a 'cadet'). I'd be happy to help you through the process.

Good luck!

At the end if TUC they show the signatures of all the TOS actors,

perhaps if your VHS tapes were signed (wink wink) by the actors you would get more money for them on E-bay.

I have a signed portrait of William Shatne
