What inspired your non-Star Trek username / nickname?

Mr.AtoZ

Lieutenant Commander

I have seen plenty of member user names that echo Star Trek names, either directly or a variation thereof. But there are also many people with names having little or nothing to do with Star Trek and their origins may not be recognizable by a lot of people.

For instance, what is a "middy seafort", who is "jonas grumby", what's "jep" short for, and what's "thegodben"?

So can some people with non-Star Trek names (excluding ordinary names) fill us in and quench some curiosity? Thanks. :-)

I think mine was influenced by Chicago traffic reports. I wanted something pleasant, non-descript, and recognizable. Given the good things I'd heard about Cicero, I thought his name a good choice.

I've recently considered changing my username to something not associated with the oppressive Optimates.

Well my username is a reference to George Lucas' first feature, THX 1138. I just substituted my initials.

Sephiroth is a fallen hero turned villan and an elite warrior, kinda like me, also is an incarnation of god

<=== name is of mysterious origin*, but it pops up in TV and movies quite often since I started using it:
- in Star Trek (2009), yeah I'm canon now!
- in Monsters vs. Aliens (2010)
- in Disney's Prep and Landing
- others I cannot recall at the moment, although I get really excited when I spot a new Sector 7 reference in something

*Actually, when I signed up I mis-remembered the Trek term I wanted to use. I didn't know how to change it and the name grew on me. I would not change it if I could.
