What If...Trek and Wars were switched?

Telekinsis has always been an element of Science Fiction and we've seen it in X-Men and Star Trek plenty of times. In fact we see sorcery in Star Trek as well, but distinct from the telkenisis abilities of aliens and mutants. And this is the same argument the academicians commenting on the Ewok movies have written. IMAO, these movies are the only time you even hear the word "magic" in the Star Wars universe, at least on live-action screen. There's plenty of non-canon comics and animated stuff that probably uses it, but these movies actually depict and use it.

Well, not magic, but Star Wars used wizard and sorcerer.

Owen Lars: That wizard is just a crazy old man. Now, tomorrow I want you to take that R2 unit to Anchorhead and have its memory erased. That'll be the end of it. It belongs to us now.

MOTTI: Don’t try to frighten us with your sorcerer’s ways, Lord Vader. Your sad devotion to that ancient religion has not helped you conjure up the stolen data tapes, or given you clairvoyance enough to find the Rebel’s hidden fort…

Very true. But those movies that I linked used the words magic. We even see it.

Wookiepedia says magic is distinctly different from the Force. Fot whatever that is. Yes, I know you didn't mention the Force. Just continuing the conversation

Telekinesis is a common trope of science fiction. Magic is easily distinguished from it. Even in Star Trek, I can distinguish Sci-Fi powers from what is clear cut sorcery.

AD&D allowed psionics and Magic.
The Force and Q’s powers would liven things up even more, with Darkseid trying to unify them all.

I don't know ... .having to put up with characters like Jabba the Hutt or Jar Jar Binks every week? No, thank you. They would even be more annoying than Neelix.

(Just joking, I don't actually dislike Neelix. But I am a bit annoyed by Jar Jar).

Oh, and we would have a discussion on starwarsbbs.com on what Star Wars would have looked like had it started out as a set of movies (and Trek as a television series).

So I’ve just started watching the Disney Gallery for The Mandolorian, and in a segment Deborah Chow said something along the lines of it being the first Star Wars TV show, and that got me thinking.

What if the development of Star Wars and Star Trek had been flipped, with Wars starting out as a TV show before going into movies and Trek had started out on the big screen? What would ANH, TESB and ROTJ be like if they’d been three seasons of television? What Trek episodes would’ve become feature films?

Thoughts?
Star Wars would’ve suffered the fate of Firefly.

I actually had a thought experiment about this, a while back. If I was GR, I would have put the first STAR TREK pilot in the theaters, during the summer BEFORE putting a television series on air.

I'm really really trying to imagine what would happen if they swapped, but I just can't picture it. I just can't see the original Star Wars films working as TV shows.

Out of the two TV series is far better format. Fortunately Star Trek is a series. For the most part.
