What if the USS Enterprise 1701-A was destroyed in Star Trek V?

They would just build a new SeaQuest...erm, I mean Enterprise.

If I recall correctly the producers of the movie saw aspects of that film as noncanon so I don't think much of anything.

Destroy a second Enterprise two movies after they destroyed the first? I think the movie would've seemed even more tired than it already is, which is one heck of a feat.

If they had blowed up another enterprise real good then star trek would have died a lot sooner than it did. Lets see blew up the refit , check killed Kirk < check blew up the enterprise D, check killed data check, killed the damn writers ? no.

We would see the Enterprise-B a lot sooner than we did.

Scotty would've been complaining more in Star Trek VI because of it, and Sulu would probably be jealous, considering he's was now in charge of the prototype while Kirk had a top-of-the-line production model.

Although he'd have to wait until Tuesday.

And of course, fans would have bitched because that would be two films in a row (and three of the six) where Kirk was given a ship that wasn't fully up to specs.

I would have sort of enjoyed seeing the Enterprise-B in a full outing.

But has anyone ever seen Wall-E? On the DVD extras there is a short named Burn-E. Replace Burn-E with Kirk, the despenser with Starfleet and the little lights he's trying to fix with ships.

You'll know what I mean if you've seen it.

I was actually thinking:
Burn-E = Chakotay
Dispenser = Voyager
Running Lights = Shuttlecraft

:)

Haha, that works too.

What if the USS Enterprise 1701-A was destroyed by Captain Klaa in Star Trek V?
Then the story has a chance to develop more drama, perhaps Sulu and or Checkov(sp?) could get killed. Uhura or Spock gets command of the exclesior in star trek VI, could had the ending of star trek v or beginning of star trek Vi morning the death or deaths of their friend or friends. It would have changed the dynamics and the feel of star trek vi perhaps for the good when it comes to more backstory, to the conflict between Kirk's hate for the Klingons in Star Trek VI

Kirk would get an excelsior class Enterprise-B just in time for TUC and without the till next Tuesday nonsense. It wouldn’t be decommissioned just after the end of the film either, with no champaign and commissioning ceremony at the beginning of Generations.
