What if the "Discovery" sets and uniforms do look like they came from "The Cage?"

Would this not make the internet explode! Everything in the show looks sleek and modern and like it comes from the Kelvin Universe or a big budget movie but when you go aboard the "Discovery" it's blast from the past. Nobody ever comments on the look in the show or notice that things look really different on that ship as opposed to everything else in the universe. They even have some of the similiar aliens but they just happen to look really human and their robot looks more like Robby the Robot as opposed to that cool "Star Wars" droid style of robot we see in the trailer. Who wouldn't want to see this just out of curiosity?
