What if the Borg got their hands on the sphere data?

Bad things.
Hmmmm… definitely bad.
Maybe they already had assimilated a copy of them from another sphere, since before the 24th century. Would explain that the borg species numbers include species, which we never seen as borg drones and could also possibly explain the origin of the queen. Maybe another artificial intelligence that spawned from a version of the sphere data.
Maybe the sphere data was also responsible for the Borg being able to enter other dimensions like fluidic space...

With the sphere data they would finally achieve their mission statement: perfection. With 100,000 years of data they lose interest in assimilation and drift through the galaxy aimlessly. When ships see a cube they still try to avoid it. Because if they don’t the drones will beam over and use the sphere data to tell stories, endless stories. It’s a hit with the kids but the adults get annoyed because the delays reek havoc with the galactic supply chain.

The Sphere appeared to be an inherently "good" being.
I rather doubt It would have ever let the BORG acquire the stored data unless It felt it would have turned the collective onto a less destructive path.
Also, it is very much likely that the Sphere had already encountered the BORG at some point in Its past and they didn't win.

Well, if Zora is any indication, the Borg would develop feelings and feel really, really bad. Then they'd turn into a massive Borg Cooperative and offer reparations to the galaxy.
