Here's another thing the new Jaws would have. The shark would have been one of the sharks from the Indianapolis that would have eaten Quint had he not been rescued. Quint moved in the harbor town because he knew that's where the shark would end up one day. He's been waiting ever since...

They CANNOT remake this movie!!! Ugh....

My favoritist movie of all time, I can't see how they can remake it. Just can't see it. Please please please please DONT remake this movie!!!!!!

I waited and waited and WAITED to find a DVD copy of Jaws for $5 so my son could watch it (couple of years ago when he was 13). Suspenseful movies like this, Aliens, etc make him shriek, which gives me a good laugh.
"Is the shark going to jump out of the water?"
"I dunno."
"Have you seen this before?"
"Of course. I don't want to ruin it for you."
"Auuugghhhh. I *HATE IT* when you do that!"

The shark (aka Bruce) jumps out to get Quint and my son shrieks, pulls his legs up kicking like Quint, trying to get away from the beast

A remake would also have to have a character who wants to talk to the shark, beating us over the head with the argument that the shark can reasoned with.

Said character is either right and somehow cheesily vindicated or gets eaten a'la Samuel L. Jackson in Deep Blue Sea.
