What if aliens worshiped Ronald Reagan?

An entire planet of Reaganomics? And technology to get here? I'm thinking these aliens would have more than sufficient resources to purchase Earth, lock, stock, and barrel. Get ready to meet your new alien...overlords?...nah. Managers. 
Their planet would be reduced to a smoking nuclear wasteland following an off-the-cuff remark one of their leaders made during a sound check.

You pose a question of what if, but the real question not voiced is why would any society, base their culture on one man. Posing as a stand in of the 1980s bar from Back to the Future II. Looking at our own global culture, the only one we know of, how likely is that any society would fall under one belief system completely. Even looking at tightly controlled societies, China comes to mind, not all of the citizens follow the established edict of the ruling body. Compare that to a complete society that does wavier or question, how reasonable is that, how likely and why this man. I do not think, this question holds up under scrutiny. Just a What If question.
