Do you think that moffat will do a 3 doctors show, with Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant,he did wirte the peter davison and tennant time crash ,maybe have all 4 in a show would be fun to see.

I wouldn't want to see Tennant come back anytime soon (and I was a big fan). Too soon would cheapen his demise.

I think you've got no chance of seeing Eccleston in DW again. As for Tennant, if he stops getting decent roles, he'd probably be for it.

Tennant would likely do a multi-Doctor show at the drop of a hat, Eccleston i doubt we will ever see as the Doctor again. Other than Tennant, i reckon Paul McGann would likely be willing to reprise the role.

ETA: I also agree with StarMan, its far too soon to have Tennant making an appearance, it would cheapen 10's death and hurt Matt Smiths growth in the role. Give Matt a chance to move further out of Tennants shadow first.

At the end of the day Tennant is a fan, so I'd figure even if he was making nothing but Hollywood blockbusters he'd still come back to play the Doctor again.

Eccleston seems unlikely to come back, but his view might change, he might mellow. Let's remember that Nimoy hated Spock at one point, and Sean Connery hated/hates Bond yet still played him twice more after he left the role.

I imagine McGann would be up for reprising the role, and probably every classic Doctor still living, aside from maybe Tom but even he seems to have mellowed.

The easiest and most effective way of doing a multiple Doctor story would be to concentrate on the modern Doctors. I'd do an 8, 10.5 and 11 story hopefully featuring a Nine cameo in the style of the TARDIS emergency message seen in Parting of the Ways. Theoretically you could do this in five years time and it'd still work because we don't know how old the 8th Doctor was when he died, 10.5 is human and therefore aging, and Eccleston's age would be covered by the nature of the holographic messaging system (and actually that's probably work for all the classic Doctors, but especially Davison and McCoy whose sillohettes have altered the least...ahem!)

It Moffat is going to do a multiple Doctor story I imagine it won't be till 2013.

I think they should maybe leave this until the second series of Matt Smith's reign. Give him time to "bed-in". I always looked forward to these episodes as a kid. Seeing how the Doctors different personalities clashed. They could explain some of the timewar - explain their appearance together as something to do with the timelock having been broken. We could even have the four doctors - an appearance from McGann. Maybe he sacrifices himself for his future selfs. Finally get to see his death onscreen!

Oooops. Now I know exactly what they mean by "fan-wank"

I always though that the next best thing to a multi-doc story would be a Trials And Tribble-ations-esque episode with the actors inserted into an old story.

The problem with that though is that a lot of the old episodes were shot on shitty video. I guess it could work on something like Spearhead From Space which was shot on film...

Ah, why he left is still a bit of a mystery isn't it. I still find it very very odd that in the first "confidential" before the first season of the series and confidentals started when they were talking about casting the Doctor, there are clips of of David.

I honestly don't expect to see any kind of multi-Doctor episode before 2013, in the form of a 50th anniversary special.

What would be cool if if you had an episode start with the Tardis materilaizing somewhere, you expect to see 11 and Amy come out but instead it is 8 and maybe a companion you never saw, they procede to have an adventure and during that time bump into 11 and Amy. So the episode is basicaly presented as an Eigth doctor episode with 11 in it. that woudl be awesome do do something from a previous Doctors point of view, 8 would be the best since we don't now much about his adventures.

With Who increasing in popularity in the US, and Ecclescake trying to get more fillum work, maybe this would be a useful flag for him to raise.

Better than GI Joe. :)

they are right not to have Tennant return in Smiths first series, but I very much expect him to do a 2 Doctors story at some point.

To be honest, the only Doctor I'm really dying to see return is McGann's. He's still a bit of a mystery, and I think he and Smith would be fun to watch together-- the romantic vs the nutty professor.

Watching 4 or 5 Doctors running around and annoying each other just doesn't appeal to me anymore. Today that would look WAY too contrived and ridiculous I think.

Well 2013 is the 50m anniversary of Dr who, you can bet they will have something special in the works that might be along those lines.

tennant said in Confidential for EOTP2 that he'd come back for a multi-Doctor story in a few years. he seemed almost certain it would happen.

i've said it before and i'll say it again:

50th anniversary, 11, 10, 8 and a younger One with Susan as a 12 year old.

my idea for the teaser was the TARDIS arrives, door opens and out walks Susan and then One comes out. then Eight arrives as the other two are puzzled about the TARDIS' appearance, then Ten arrives and Eleven last. The TARDIS belonging to One has some how linked itself to the others and adopted their appearance...

Yes, I think a McGann episode should be that season's 'Who-lite' episode. But it would be Who-lite with a twist. Little of the current Doctor but we would get plenty of his predecessor (am I the only one who hated that, for example, in Voyager's Flashback there was so little of Sulu?).

Smith's Dr and Amy should be like guest stars but I would like the two Doctors to meet, however briefly.

Tennant should probably come back as the Tenth Dr's clone, thus avoiding the need for bendy-wendy-timey-wimey explanations. I'd like to see Eccleston back but I think it unlikely he will be. If he does, it could be - from his POV - before he met Rose.

But there shouldn't be any multi-Dr stories for another year or two, until Smith is well settled in the role. 2013, the 50th anniversary of the show, seems fitting.
