I swam a 1000 yards this morning. I can't say it made me feel proud, but it does make me feel like less of a slug.

What does make me proud is that I have now made a routine of OWNING the Chessmaster in an old Game Boy game of the same name. Classics never die.

I've been struggling for an answer since this thread first appeared, and I've come to the realization that pride isn't something I feel often, if ever. I can't remember the last time I felt proud of myself -- maybe when I was a kid? I've felt proud of my students; when they wrote the producers of Ugly Betty after we were kicked out of the dinosaur halls at the AMNH I was very proud of their conviction and overall work.
