Seriously, I was enjoying this site, but now it seems that everything has turned into a spammy application your forced to follow in order to sign into anywhere or do anything. What the hell? I noticed even the picture sites do that now. I went to comment on one I've...always been able to sign in, and now it's some stupid application that wants access to my account.

It sounds like your problem is with other sites, not Twitter.
I've encountered a few of them myself. They target Twitter because it's popular. But their actions have nothing to do with Twitter. You can still use it just the same as you always have.

I can still tweet and stuff, but even like, twitpic has suddenly gone to "app access" which sucks, because I was able to log into it before... now I can't without an app accessing my account, lame.

Technically you're not solving the problem: instead you're avoiding it.
