What happened to the USS Farragut?

There is a USS Rhode Island. How do we know there isn't a USS Narragansett?
It wasn't mentioned.

So if something isn't mentioned in Star Trek that means it can't be added at some point?
You know you're not making any sense now...right?

From you:
The Farragut wasn't destroyed onscreen. Therefore we do not know what happened to it. Period.

This denotes that you're of the ilk that if it doesn't happen "on screen" it doesn't happen. However, you've been presented overwhelming evidence to the contrary and now you're trying to back you shit up by using off screen "imaginary" names for ships that are never mentioned.

So which is it? On screen only, or "whatever the fuck I want"? Question mark.

^ I think he's just doing it to play a game.

The following ships were listed as going to Vulcan.

USS Antares
USS Centaurus
USS Enterprise
USS Farragut
USS Hood
USS Truman
USS Walcott

Given Starfleet's history of recycling historical ship names, the Narragansett name seems even more likely. It was the name of a Union ship in the Civil War.

Ah. So it must've been the USS CENTAURRUGUS. Case closed.

Don't put words in my mouth.

I'm not. You. Said. It.

All of us are the obese kid from Trekkies 2.

You know what's great about this argument? Even if we win, we're still losers.

No. I. Didn't. Go find a quote from me saying that I used imaginary names.

Well we all know Rhode Island isn't a real state. Therefore everything about it is imaginary. And/or lame.

Since the question asked in the opening post has been pretty conclusively answered -- see? Right there:

Here is the destroyed Farragut on screen:

m0uzyz
-- and since it appears that T'Paul won't be returning to continue the fun and games, I think we're done here. The thread will remain closed.
