Every time I asked them a question their first email back was asking me to confirm my postal address. One chain of emails has me providing my address 4 times.
So I've got some news...... https://decandido.wordpress.com/2023/01/18/im-writing-star-trek-fiction-again/
Just got my subscription copy of STAR TREK EXPLORER magazine, #6, featuring new DS9 stories by James Swallow and Una McCormack. Looking forward to reading them!
Still haven't received my physical copy of issue 5 yet. I've already contacted them once, and they said they would be sending it, but so far, nothing. I've had to contact them about either the physical magazine or the digital supplement for almost every issue. This shouldn't be so difficult, should it?
No it shouldn't be like that or treat customers like this. I'm sorry you haven't heard back from Titan yet.
Received my copy of issue 6 in the mail, but still no digital supplement, so I'm also in the position where I've had to remind them to send me one or the other every issue.
I'm not sure, but I believe the digital supplement only goes out after the magazine hits the newsstands, AFTER the subscription copies land. (Just fired off a new TOS story, for issue 8, I believe.)
Yeap, Titan has it listed as on sale on 28/2 https://titan-comics.com/m/123-star-trek-explorer-6/ and Previews for the next day, March 1st, https://www.previewsworld.com/Catalog/DEC220973.
Actually got my copy of issue 6 in the mail today! Yay! ... now if only they would send me the issue 5 that they originally missed, like they promised.
Issue 6 stories: The Mission, by Jim Swallow Will a traitor bring destruction to DS9? Things Can Only Get Better, by Una McCormack Kira is in peril in a DS9 story. Frontier Medicine, by Michael Carroll (digital supplement) A DS9 Story. Control by John Peel (digital supplement) A Star Trek: Enterprise adventure, which you could say has a twist in the tale
I'm very thankful for this thread, since it lets me keep up-to-date on exactly what Titan fails to send me each issue!
To be fair, the digital supplement doesn't feature synopsis for the extra short stories, so I normally take something from the editor's Captain's Log at the beginning of the suplement or add something myself if I read it before posting here (not the case this time): This digital special also features a special Star Trek: Deep Space Nine story from Michael Carroll, perhaps better known for his work on the long-running British comic, 2000AD, and another smashing story from author John Peel, this time bringing us a Star Trek: Enterprise adventure, which you could say has a twist in the tale! So that's on me!
