What happened to sitcom theme songs???

im guessing its some sort of brightly coloured horror fest which features the character bouncing around so much, it leaves you out of breath just watching it.
I see you've been watching too much Charlie Brooker and not enough Magnus Scheving. ;)
that may sound like Charlie Brooker, but it is all my own work.
The influence is still there. :)

[You've been "influenced" too much by the LazyTown folk, ZR. Maybe you should give it a rest, no? - everyone]

Maybe.

On the subject of kids TV, gone were the days where we could sing along to the theme tunes (the likes of Andy Crane even "sung" along too :scream:) or count down with the on-screen clock until the next Programme for Schools was about to start. :( )

I remember sitting in class and we used to watch the count down clock for schools on ch4 that we would sit and hum to.
I think it was for a show called stop look and listen that we used to click our tongue to the when the theme tune came on.

:bolian: I've got the mp3 of that somewhere, as well as the epic music from the sequence beforehand.

I remember the older ones too, some of the music was quite jolly. The ITV Schools ones were the best. :D

I was not born till 82 so do not remember those. :D

There were some real good ones. I alwyas loved "Those were the Days" from All in the Family and the theme to the Greatest American Hero. The A-Teams theme was pretty good also.

they should make the current idents more like these, then people would watch TV more.
What does it say about the shows when people only watch for the idents:guffaw:
You have to admit, all too frequently the idents and the opening theme music are the best parts of the TV show in question. Which makes the reduction of their running times nowadays, to make way for extra advertising or on-screen action, rather sad.

we all have fond memory's of watching that ident at school, watching the grey move around until the program started, or is it just me?
No i think it was one of the last things we did before they pulled my class room down.
it was also made funny by the fact the teacher could never get the FFwd button to work, and you didnt care you just wanted to watch the grey to move around the circle.

what because the class would have objected, or becasue s/he might not have been able to get it to stop?
