What happened on Romulus, when the Klingons conquered the planet in the alternate future of AGT?

It's an OK theory but it is clearly not meant to be interpreted that way. The writers have the characters in the ready room talking about sharing knowledge of the future. It was as real as the time Q sent them to meet the Borg cube. Or observing them at farpoint... real situations

I would say this proves that the supernova was manipulated by someone like Section 31, and that in the alternate timeline, they used a plague instead.

Or then shit happens, and supernova-ripe stars are ignited by coincidental things, such as a cloud of interstellar gas being diverted by a passing Pakled cruiser this way rather than that, or that extra camel-spine-mangling dose of radiation induced by a nearby space battle.

I like to think that AGT was actually about giving Picard the heads up about those shitty future uniforms so when he does become an Admiral in the 2380's he can prevent their creation.

Or Spock succeeded in stopping the shockwave of the supernova, but there was still fallout. If we're to believe it was the Romulan star, it would be a little detrimental to the planet's health for it to not have its star. Also severe radiation surges, etc. All of it would leave Romulus incredibly vulnerable to attack and disasters like those mentioned in AGT.

Usually I'm of the opinion that their honour code would prevent Klingons from massacring civilian populations they conquer.
But with the Romulans the Klingons have a lot of bad blood and old grudges, so I'm not sure whether some nasty business might not have gone down when they conquered Romulus.
