what does Star Trek food taste like?

I haven't really read much of the thread, but I'd assume that everything alien tastes like chicken.

It's always like that in TV, movies, cartoons, games, books and comics.

I imagine Batter-Fried Klingon Squid tastes alot like Batter-Fried Korean Squid, simply because that's what producers used on the set. Go Riker!

I always wondered what Kirk's Chicken sandwich would have looked like if the Tribble hadn't come out. I am not sure I want to go near some blue or green chicken.

In the first season on ENT, they're constantly eating and/or drinking something. What's up with that? Watching these shows make me quite hungry. No wonder I've gained 15 pounds over the summer. I blame ENT.

Back in the "olden days" before MREs and microwaves... all those colored blocks were supposed to look like "future space food". It only looks silly NOW.
p.s.- I miss None Such/mincemeat pie... haven't had any since I found out I'm diabetic.
