What Do You Want Your Kids To Do When They Grow Up?

I would very much like not to have children, but in the likely event that I do, I want them to be happy and make obscene amounts of money.

I don't have kids, nor do I ever want them.

But speaking hypothetically, if I *did* have kids, I'd be happy if they grew up and didn't hate me. :p

My son currently has an interest in history and likes the idea of teaching. He's 11 though, so he's got lots of time!

My oldest daughter has a degree in journalism and works for the American Cancer Society. My youngest daughter is a junior in college majoring as a trauma nurse and my son expects to join the Marines after his birthday in September.

I'm happy with all of them and their choices.

Great kids! :techman:

For mine? If they carry on they way they are now - rules of the known universe. The only question is whether it will be for good or evil...

Of course they're only four and two so things may change. :)

But if I had a choice, my daughter would attend the Air Force Academy and become a fighter pilot. Or failing that a bomber pilot. Or failing that a tanker or transport pilot. Or perhaps on an ICBM crew.

That would be my dream anyway.

Amazing, it's almost like we're on the same wavelength. My dream is that my daughter will grow up and start a global thermonuclear war against the daughter of a fellow TrekBBS member. I always thought it was just a pipe dream though, I never thought I'd actually get the chance.

We really need to trade email addresses and get working on our respective nuclear families behind the scenes. After all, worldwide nuclear holocaust starts at home.

Seriously though, I want my daughter to do whatever makes her happy and secure in life (within the bounds of the law, preferably).

Whatever the occupation, I just want them to have health insurance.

It's more than I have, that's for sure.
