What Do You Pay For Internet?

I have unlimited Bell wireless for CAD$50 a month. Steep but totally worth it. We now have three computers (2 netbooks and a laptop) using it :techman: I don't know the exact download rate, except I know it's fast

$29.95 for a Time-Warner cable connection with no TV. I don't have a land-line anymore either. The speed isn't the fastest in the world(downloads at about 100kbs), but my computer is getting old too. Even if you have to keep a land-line you shouldn't be paying that much and still have dial-up. See what your options are when you move to your new place and splurge for some broadband.

I pay $54 a month for the internet. That is for unlimited hours and unlimited downloads.

29.99 euros for a triple play service (everything is unlimited). Adsl 28 mega ATM for the moment, I will have optical fiber in 2011 for the same price ;)

I'm on T-com (Croatia-Zagreb) and paying just a tad less than $29 per month for a 4Mb/s download and 0.26 Mb/s upload internet connection.
It is unlimited (flatrate) and uncapped (no hidden caps on speed or how much data one can download).

I pay 65 € a month (that's US$93 currently) for internet, IPTV, and landline with free national calls combined. I'd save 15 € / month by getting rid of IPTV. I'm considering that at the moment.

There are much cheaper options available, but they don't have 50 down / 10 up mbps bandwidth with real unlimited traffic.

I suppose I should add a large part of my electricity bill to that. ;)

100 K ? With Time Warner? That's slower than the old ISDN lines. When I had TWC, I routinely got speeds of 15-25Mbps. Of course, TWC's crap would occasionally crash/reset/stop working for a few minutes several times each day, but still - 100K for $30 seems horrendously overpriced.

That's traffic managed downloads though not the actual speed of the connection.

£19.99/month for unlimited 8Mb broadband and land line rental with Pipex. 8Mb is all I can get in my area and I only get around 6 or 7 of that.

I'm actually surprised that the OP still has dial-up and pays so much for it and the others here that pay so much for broadband.

Not all locations in the US have access to broadband. If/When the FCC gets off of its ass regarding the analog spectrum no longer being used for television broadcasting, many areas of the US will truly see leaps and bounds in service.

I pay $60 a month for Sprint's wireless broadband, which is capped at 5GB a month. Past that it's 5 cents per MB.

I am in the process of switching to Verizon DSL, which will be $20 a month, but this is apparently the most incompetent company on the face of the planet, because they know there is a problem at the central office but they can't figure out how to fix it. It's been almost a month and they are still "working on it." They also robocall me to update me on the status of my order, but the stupid thing hangs up on me right after I say "hello." I've been on the phone with them repeatedly about this, and have called their corporate HQ about it, too. They can't even tell me when they expect it to be up, but when it is, I am getting a bunch of charges knocked off my bill over this bullshit.

Well, I pay zero, as my wife works for the cable company and we get everything but the phone for free. Hope that helps. :techman:

If they can't even connect you, what makes you think their service will be any good? This is a genuine Red Flag to me.
