What Didja Get For Christmas?

I gave:

Sister: Cake plates.
Brother-In-Law: Whole cloth wrapped cave aged mature cheddar from Wookie Hole.
Father: Load of Cornish beer.
Mother: The Archers Cookbook
4yr old Nephew:Batmans & Superman T-shirts, and rad 70s style Hot Wheels vans.
7 yr old Nephew: Star Wars Original Trilogy DVD. Night vision goggles.

I got:

From Sister & Brother-in-Law: Vouchers and a vast amount of fantastic food, drink and company at their house.

From Nephews: A clock with a picture of them on it. Last year I got a mug with a picture of them on, and the year before a keyring, with a picture of them on it. So, at least the items they are putting themselves on are improving.

From Parents: Queen Calendar, also a book about the history of Queen, and a Queen live in Budapest Blu Ray.

I like Queen.

A shirt from Coldwater Creek
A novel, "The Hitman's Guide to Housekeeping."
A book about Blake's 7
Some Downton Abbey replica jewelery.
Yellow Submarine blu-ray
a pack of Tardis Blue canvas shopping bags

I loved The Hitman' Guide to Housekeeping - a Croatian hitman who has to flee New York and ending up in Iceland after stealing the identity of an American televangelist. He is a pretty disgusting fellow.

That sounds awesome. I can use some of my vacation time to just sit and read in peace.

Some people have criticised the way the book has been written saying that the English is poor. The fact is that the book is written in the first person and English isn't even a second langage for Toxic the Hitman - I think it is a third or fourth language and he hasn't quite mastered it.

A soda stream, a new TV and some hand made cookies

I went out to visit my mom, I got her a DVD player, Despicable me 2, Ted, and A Christmas Story, some hand carved beads, and a paracord bracelet kit, Got my old man a Replica Colt Navy

Mostly clothes. Some great and very appreciated items that I can definitely use and really enjoy wearing. Also, some thoughtful and very nice Christmas cards and brand-new or recent Star Wars collectibles I didn't already have.

Lots of TOS era ST stuff, some John Wayne movies on Blu-ray, and a Saskatchewan Roughriders 101st Grey Cup Championship shirt.

MAN, I totally wanted a Soda Stream, but they're a bit pricey. Have you tried it? I'm curious as to how a regular or diet soda from the soda stream tastes compared to store bought. I have such a soda addiction, I was wondering if a Soda Stream would be worth it.

I got a box of Pot of Gold and $60 woth of gift cards to a local pub from my Landlords.

a bottle of Mens Domain Cologne, from a friend of mine (and her kids) who Models (she's hot)

and a Cold mist humidifier from another friend to help me with this bronchitis. (but its too noisy to use at night when i need it, so I might have to exchange it)

As its the season of giving...
What I gave was a

Doris unicorn despicable me 2 to my 4 year old niece

A Mine Creeper Plushie to her 6 year old Brother.

Gift certificates to my sister and her husband ($50 ea)

A tassimo coffee machine to my model friend (I did not know that thats all she wanted, so it was a big surprise to her and me), some clothes for her kids.

Some toys for my brothers grand kids (but have received no thank yous as of yet).

some small kitchen gadgets for another friend.

A box of Purdy's chocolates to the waitress at my local pub.

This was really my most subdued xmas. Usually I buy boxes of chocolates and hand them out to everyone who I interact with a lot, like the post office guy. I just kinda did mostly nothing this year, bought all the family stuff online in one hit and that was it.

Trek wise? :)

Very impressed with this. Haven't had a chance to read the hard bound book yet but the charts are amazing.

The Kool-Aid tropical punch is the only thing I've tried so far, it's pretty good, it came with 24 sample packs so give me a few weeks to try them out

I really want that new Stellar Cartography book. Congrats on getting it as a gift! It looks like one of the most interesting Trek books of recent years.

Just finished the first liter, Really like the kool-aid tropical punch, second liter tried the cola. It tastes like store brand cola, a little watered down, but I think the sample packs have a little less syrup in them than they should. I figure all the cola flavors are gonna taste like generics. The literature with the soda stream had about a hundred different fruit flavors, I'm gonna experiment with mixing and matching.
