What did you think of Kirk kicking Kruge to his death?

It used to make me cringe. Not because he was killing the baddie, but the dialogue in time with the kicks.

I've always found the cadence of Kirk's dialog there to be rather odd.

I didn't say he deserved it. I think PrimeKirk and PrimeSpock probably would have beamed aboard the Narada's crew without asking first (or letting Nero speak for them), but these versions still have some maturing to do.

In Balance of Terror, PrimeKirk did respect the Romulan commander's decision for him and his crew to all die instead of beaming them to the Enterprise. I saw the thing with the Narada as an Abrams "rock and roll" twist on that.
