Both are more household gift for everyone, but now that I've got some job security and know I'll be able to keep up with the bills, cell phones from my mother, brother, and myself and DirecTv service. We'd all been using "pay as you go" phones which really weren't working so well for any of us, and we hadn't had any cable/satellite since fall of '07 after a series of issues with our our cable provider with the last straw being them trying to charge us for PPV orders that none of us possibly could've ordered (and right when we would've switched to something else, we got bitchslapped around financially for awhile and decided to just put it off until things stabilized).

I also managed to snag an iPod Touch when it was Amazon's Deal of the Day on Black Friday and surprised my brother with it on Christmas Day. It was the one thing he'd hinted around about the most and I kept telling him it just wasn't going to happen, no way, not with my two new bills and Mom buying him a Wii (which he knew about because he was with us when she bought it). The look on his face when he opened his gift was awesome. He's been on cloud nine ever since.

I booked a last minute flight and surprised my family in D.C. by arriving home on Christmas Day, returning home for the first time in just under a year.

This was my first ever Christmas, and I really enjoyed giving.
