Andrew Probert's Ambassador Class or Enterprise-C.
It has the best design features of both worlds (i.e. Excelsior and Enterprise-D) and strikes me as the uncrowned queen of space.
Her sleek lines are so beautiful that if she wouldn't exist, it would be mandatory to invent her.
If I were in a spacedock lounge with fellow Starfleet officers and they'd ask me which ship I'm serving on just by looking at her would make me feel proud.

LOL!!!
Me, I'd go for the Sovereign. Love the design, but also just as comfy as the Galaxy but a bit more modern, uprated tech and no kids wandering the corridors. Don't get me wrong, I love kids. But they have no business on a starship.

I wish they had come up with this design for the Enterprise D back when TNG started. I like this design so much better.

I would have been just happy and content if they had actually used Mr. Probert's design for the Enterprise-C.
I mean, you can really tell that this beautiful lady's father was a Galaxy and her mother an Excelsior.
In comparison the Enterprise-C we saw on screen strikes me as an unhappy, orphaned little girl. She wants her dad to be a Galaxy but seems to be uncertain whether her mom could be the TOS or TMP Enterprise.

Agree. C looks too much like the lovechild of A and D. Should have had a lot more Excelsior components per the Probert design.
I didn't get this until I realized that you were talking about the Abrams films, not the Mirror Universe. There you'd need to grow a goatee, or get a scar.Alternate reality Constitution class. Although I'd need to remember to pack sunglasses.

My choice for the same reasons. The Galaxy is nice and comfortable, but all that Beige and kids wandering around would get to me eventually...
Qapla! A man after my own heart!bird of prey for me, lol
I'll always prefer captaining the ship I got when I became promoted Captain: the IKS Haqtaj, a scientific vessel (refitted Negh'Var class; of course we kept the weaponry). Our mission is to find a substitute for a certain substance, popular in the Empire, that originates on Terra, thus making the Empire independent of Terran imports./\ Which brings up: What positions do you think you're actually qualified to fill, as opposed to what position you'd like to have.
I have to wonder if the Probert "C" wasn't used because it was so good-looking. They might not have wanted to put a guest ship onscreen that was essentially a better-looking version of the hero ship....
