The usual orbital scenes. It would be work to negate part of the hand, but I would want ot see them try. Not much to change in this episode, AFAIR.

Why would it be work. It's a space scene. It's going to be redone from scratch anyway (even if it's a view screen shot).

I wonder if the film footage of just the hand still exists? If it does, then use it again but this time clean it up and matte it better, making it really grab onto the Enterprise.
We can only hope. Whatever they do, it's bound to be better than the original. It was one of those effects that just missed but unfortunately, that also meant it missed by a mile. A hand holding the Enterprise! It was such an audacious idea. Technically, it needed to work perfectly to be believable and it didn't.

I seem to remember a calendar picture of a cgi'ed Apollo hand / Enterprise.
Of course with this being a remaster, they should replace Apollo's hand altogether and put in...Starbuck's hand

I'm hoping they can show sweeping, 180-degree views of the new Apollo hand clutching the Enterprise and---when Spock fires phasers through it to try to disrupt the force field---they will now show the beams slicing through the faux hand.

Or at least an aerial view of the temple from above, the way we got to see the combat arena on Vulcan in "Amok Time" from above and a distance using the new CGI.
