What Changes Would You Have For "A Taste of Armageddon"?

True. I suppose it made his predicament all the more believable that he couldn't come up with a better threat or ruse. In real life I guess most of us would fail to do much better if we thought our very way of life or even existence were threatened with imminent destruction.

Another bit of plot I found silly is Anon 7's ultimatum to Scotty, which essentially boiled down to: "Beam down your entire crew so we can kill them all, or I'll kill this one guy I have here"
Anan's Kirk impression was amusing, as well, where he orders the entire crew to beam down for shore leave and sample Eminiar's famous tanning booths. Funny how he just happens to be this gifted mimic.

Hm, there's a recurring theme -- just how many times did a villain try to fool the Enterprise crew by posing as Kirk?

Heh -- as a little kid, I always heard Anan's name as "a non-seven," and would wonder what the heck a non-seven was. "You'll be speaking to a non-seven." For awhile there, I just chalked it up as his rank.

Yeah, you'd think after Ruk the android's fake Kirk voice(which was extremely robotic sounding or drugged in tone)you'd want Scotty and other officers to be more careful and observant about audio messages from the surface. In "Armageddon" Scotty is suspicious from the get-go and has the computer expose the fraud, but there are a couple of other episodes later in the series where faked voice communications trick the crew. OBVIOUS fakes, too.
