Telling Kirk he needs 30 minutes to start up the engines has the help of Spock to start it faster and telling Kirk that a cold start was theoretical vs Trip taking 2 minutes for the same task by himself and proving a cold start can be done in practice a century earlier. The laws of physics did not seem to matter to Trip. He just did it.
Spock agreed with Scott, so....

I obviously had to go with the first four in the exact order of preference they are listed, even though I've always been lukewarm on the character of B'Elanna to include her at all.

Tucker as a character wasn't horrible, but just much like "Enterprise" in general, he really didn't stand out as Trek's finest hour.

While I think Simon Pegg did a great job as Scotty, but at the end of the day it's still J.J. Trek; which is to say one man's vison of how Star Trek should be...an action-filled movie with lens flare and that is devoid of deep story.

Don't know Tilly, but I think Jett Reno was Bill Clinton's Attorney General.

Lieutenants Commander Logan and Argyle sit sadly in the corner

Ever sadder right now are Leland T. Lynch and Sarah MacDougal.

Hey, maybe that explains the confusion on Disco! They are using the season 1 TNG musical chairs method to make rotating Chief Engineer assignments. What seem to be continuity errors are in fact the title just being passed from Stamets to Reno to Tilly to Linus and so on etc...

I'm a bit surprised by my favorites from this list... Tucker, Torres, Tilly, Reno.

Tucker! He really was the standout character on that show. TNG had Data, DS9 had literally everyone, VOY had Seven, and ENT had Tucker.

Lieutenants Commander Logan and Argyle sit sadly in the corner

Logan was a Lt., not a Lt. Cmdr. And frankly, he should have been demoted to ensign.

He purposefully left his post 35 decks below and halfway across the ship just to tell Geordi they need to leave... a post that, by the way, was absolutely essential in the current situation: the middle of a battle and red alert. He was deliberately insubordinate, and had to be told multiple times to get back to his post.

He deserves far more than to just sit sadly in a corner.
