What are your top 3 Star Trek television shows?

I genuinely don't understand how you can come to these conclusions on the basis of one episode. I wouldn't want to rate any of the established Trek shows on the basis of their first seasons, never mind first episodes. At the moment we're in a position to rank series pilots. That's it.

I haven't come to any conclusion. I'm just saying two of my top three are rock solid. So to knock them off would be a tall order.

Especially since, like I just said upthread, SNW isn't my usual type of Space Opera. And I've long thought the type of Star Trek SNW wants to be was done best the first time. It's climbing uphill and doing a good job of it. But my tastes are my tastes.

I imagine anyone who feels the same way about their favorites will tell you similar.

But we'll see in a few months. I gave the first episode a 9 out of 10, with 10 being the best. So it's a contender.

For something to be your favorite, it doesn't have to be the best. You have to love it warts and all. When the show falls short somewhere, is it still your favorite? That's when you know it's your favorite and you'll stick with it and stick up for it through thick and thin.

Mid-Season Update: If SNW keeps up with the way it's going, it looks like it actually will knock PIC out of my #3 spot after all.

Nothing's dislodging either TOS or DSC. You know me. PIC is the softest one in my Top 3 as it currently stands.
