What are your plans for the Easter weekend?

I'm freaking out over absolutely nothing. :(

Friday I'm working. Saturday I'm going to a BBQ with friends.

Sunday I'm going to Easter dinner with the new boyfriend, who for the past 2 years has been the friend.

His parents are coming in for the Easter weekend, and since a friend of ours is having a Seder on Sunday (instead of tonight or Thursday), they're coming to that as well.

He and his parents are Jewish, and having never met the 'rents, having gone to a seder, wanting them to like me I'm FREAKING OUT!!! I've been reading up on Seders so I don't do anything incredibly stupid.

I hope they like me.

:(

Doctor Who, Red Dwarf, beer, poker, football, and Sunday dinner at my parents house, will all feature largely in my Easter Weekend.

My family doesn't celebrate Easter, except for the little kids. But this year, my nephew will be with his biological father and sister's SO's boy is in the hospital---so, not much to celebrate. :(

Hubby and I will stay home--maybe go to a movie or take my Mother-in-law out to dinner. Nothing big.

Easter's not a big deal when you're an atheist.

Maybe I'll just go buy some chocolate bunnies. :vulcan:

What's not to like? You will be fine.

My sister arrived from Adelaide to spend Easter with us. She is staying at my other sister's home. Today I am going down to spend a couple of days with them.

Good Friday is my Mum's birthday and my sister is cooking a meal for us all to celebrate. We will have fish because Mum will only eat fish on Good Friday. One Saturday we three sisters plan to go to Salamanca Market, do a tour of Cascade Brewery and go to the top of the Mountain. I will come home Saturday afternoon.

The have nothing particularly planned for Sunday or Monday. I guess my son and I will do some work in the garden (weather permitting).

I don't celebrate Easter so there will be no Easter eggs or any special meal on Sunday.

ROAD TRIP!!!!! :D

Going down to the west coast mith some of my family to see my grandparents. Haven't been down since 2007, will be intresting to see how it's changed.

Also I love the new av ZR. "Innerspace" is one of my favorite 80s flicks :techman:

I think I'm going out drinking on Saturday. Other than that, nothing. No days off or anything here, so it doesn't even qualify as a holiday as far as I'm concerned...

Easter Weekend Plans

With Easter Weekend approaching, and some, perhaps many, having a few days off with the holiday, I think we should share what our plans are for the extended weekend.

I'm off from school Thursday, Friday, and Monday. I'm responsible for the music at the Good Friday Mass of the Presanctified at our local Catholic Church, and I'm also the organist for the Lutheran Church's Tenebrae Service Friday night. Then I'm on to play for Easter Sunday Worship.

Otherwise, I'm planning to lounge around the house, play with my daughter, get the yard ready for spring/summer, and watch some media.

For the first time in a great many Easters, we're not going anywhere, and we're not hosting anyone. It's going to be wonderful.

Re: Easter Weekend Plans

I was asked if I could work Easter Sunday. I told them yes.

Then they scheduled me with the day off anyway. I still have to work Fri-Sat and Monday, though, so I can't really go anywhere. I'll probably just end up napping the whole day.

Normally Id be making a fantastic leg of lamb. Instead I'll be sitting in a hotel room with my thumb up my ass trying to find a decent meal :scream:

Saturday, I will probably go for a run, screw around on the computer and tv, then I'm on duty in the dorms ( :( ). Sunday, I may go for a run if I can push the RA phone on someone for a few hours, more computer, more tv, and then some dorm desk time that I need to make up. Someone else wants me to take her desk time as well, but I'm not fond of the idea of more desk time and I'm not too fond of the person asking either. We'll see.

Well, since I am in American and don't have the new "Red Dwarf", I will just have to do nothing like usual. :-(

Already ate almost all my Easter Candy and it's not even Easter. Actually, I lied, I ate all but one piece.

Re: Easter Weekend Plans

Same thing I do every weekend. Relax, forget about school, and wait for one of my friends to come up with something they want me to do. Then I do it, and it is usually fun.
