What are your most prized or unusual autographed Item(s)?

Captain Roberts

Lieutenant
Red Shirt
I have 2 that come to mind:

My 1979 Book Club Hardcover Edition STTMP novel personalized by GR.
&
My 1987 Mr. Scott's Guide to The Enterpise personalized by JD, but as Cmmdr Montgomery Scott.

My copy of the published scripts for the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, autographed by Douglas Adams.

I know, I know - it's not Trek, but it's really cool, and it's almost the only autographed thing I've got!

The only Trek-related autograph I have is a copy of Takei's book signed by Takei.

A friend of mine is supposed to get me Nimoy's autograph in the coming weeks though, so that's gonna be awesome. I wish I could be there in person to get it.

:/ this sucks, I just realized, I only have autographs of popular German Pop bands. None of which I will share due to it's epic dorkiness. Oh! I do have Stephenie Meyer's autograph... wait, that's pretty embarrassing, too nowadays.

I have autograph pictures of Zachuary Quntio,Leonard Nimoy,William Shatner,Brent Spinner,Jonathan Frakes that I got singed when I went to the convetion in Vegas. While I was there I bought an autograph photo of Chris Pine who play the new Kirk. I was gonna buy an autograph picture of DeForest Kelly, but the price for it was way too expensive. I'm thinking of going to the convetion next year if I can. And if I do, I hope that some of the ones I ment there this year will be there next year. And if they are I might have then sign my pictures I had taken with them and probley something else as well. Or whenever they are there next time.

Well, I don't care for buying autographed items (what is the point?) and I generally don't see what the fuss is about autographs; it is only nice if you have a reminder that the person wrote something for you personally (which is not the case with buying autographed items - so that makes them pointless, IMO), but talking to the person, if possible, would still mean more to me than getting them to sign something for me.

I only have two autographs: one is a copy of the Husker Du "Candy Apple Grey" record that Grant Hart signed for me before a concert in 1996; the other is an autograph by LTJ Bukem, but I'm not even a fan of his, and only have it because I went to his concert with a bunch of my friends, one of whom worked as a promoter, and we got in there early, before the concert, when he signed our tickets.

I'm not an autograph collector, but my friend Frank is. He has one truly awesome piece - three 8x10 glossies of Kirk, Spock & McCoy mounted in a single long frame, all autographed. Cost him a bundle!

I think My favorite has to be George Tekei's I had a Next gen uniform on. I Got it at that convention which was a small convention without alot of merchants. So it was all they had. Well he Heckled me about it. " Next Generation huh?" Then he asked me if my long hair was regulation. Later on I remember that in a book called Entropy Effect He had a contest with a girl on how fast they could grow out there hair. So Sulu had long hair and a fu man chu in that book. So thats my favorite one. I also have John de Lancie's. Another funny guy. I got Patrick Stewart's from a freind who went to a con I couldn't make. I also bought ( i know) Jonathin Frakes and Brent Spiners autographs. But i think Frakes's counts now cuz i met him at super megafest. We stood with him all night at the Peter Tork concert. It was awesome! I got a couple more but those are my Trek ones.

I have many autographed things. Jimmy Doohan signed my Mr Scott's Guide (it's getting a bit tattered now), a frame around a photoe of he and I and my novelization of Relics (currently missing somewhere in the house....I hope.) I also have the Klingon Dictionary signed by Robert, O'Reilly, Marc Okrand and Tony Todd. Tony's is my favorite because I got it when I got to meet him backstage at a convention. He was curious about a auction they were having for a local charity, Dream Come True. I was part of the group that set that and the convention up. He was curios about the charity and he wanted to meet one of the kids that was benefited by the charity. I was and I was there so they came and got me. It's on video too. He's a very gentle guy. Big but very nice and down to earth. It was a lot of fun.

an old, dog-eared copy of I Am Not Spock autographed by Da Man -- Leonard Nimoy -- back in 1983.

And of course the faded polaroid of when my wife met Nimoy at a store event in 1976:

Trek: I have tons of autographs from various shows over the years. I have a poster of the original series cast, signed by 8 of them. All were obtained in person at conventions.

Non-Trek: I have a very large (about 6 feet by 3 feet), framed Lord of the Rings poster signed by 49 cast and crew members.
