What are your most consistent typos?

I invariably spell "the," "hte." And "aganist" or "agasnt."

On tests at law school, the word "reasonable" comes up a lot. I spell-checked a practice test--SEVEN different ways to misspell it on my paper!

ANd double-capitalization, like that.

How about you?

For some reason, I have a tendency to forget to type negative words (no, not, etc), which has the effect of making my sentences say exactly the opposite of what I intend.

I always used to write definitely as definatly all the time. Even now I slow it down in my head as I write it, def-ini-tely

benfit = benefit
landolrd = landlord
alchol = alcohol
out = our

also, putting a "m" in place of a comma - thuslym

When it was on the air I always seemed to end up discussing the X-Files spin-off The Lone Gunment.

I know there's at least one word that I consistently misspell, but for the life of me I can't remember what it is just now. It's driving me nuts. :lol:

As for mere typos: capitalisation. No doubt a function of my habit for using Caps Lock for every instance of such instead of Shift. I usually pick up on it immediately thereafter, though. For obvious reasons.

The one I *always* mis-type is two. I have to slow down and consciously type it one letter at a time or it ends up as tow.

Jan

I always seem to mistype the word "aunt". :guffaw:

But seriously, me and my fat fingers always add unwanted letters to words as I type, and put spaces int eh wrong place, when I don't nee dthem. Hash marks at the end of paragraphs too, whenver I hit the old carriage return like this.#

Worst of all is missing backspace, resuil;tyinr ===-====--lting in lots of equals signs and minus signs.

My two most consistent typos are:

t he and "excess punctuation";;

I'm always getting my I's and E's mixed up in "being" and "friend". In fact I'm not sure I've got it right there.
I tend to write "theese" instead of "these", and get "Then" and "Than" mixed up too.

Most of the time I for some reason miss the comma. I invariably type can;t or aren;t and have to go back and fix it. I can't seem to break it.

Not a typo, but I'm a bit baffled about the word "cancelled". My spellchecker always flags it and says it should be "canceled". I see it spelled both ways in "official" places.

It should be "canceled," but I think it's one of those words that has been misspelled so many times that the misspelling has become acceptable. The evolution of language...right before your very eyes!!! :eek:

[becomes unreasonably angry at the dictionary]

Convenient. I always seem to type it as "conveinent."

So, convenient is not so convenient for me, because I have to always go back and correct it.
