I recently came across a short fan film called, ‘USS K'Ehleyr: Away Team’. The Universal Translators have malfunctioned so everyone is speaking in German (English subtitled)! I really liked the areal shot of the phaser battle (time index 8:23). The outtakes at the end of the video are also worth watching.

They also have released a full length movie called ‘Dark Horizons’, but has not yet been subtitled.

I have been trying to get ‘Starfleet Academy’ on DVD for some time. I am hoping that it will be uploaded online at some point.

This is my central index for non-English language Star Trek Fan Films: http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/219.html . Languages in blue have many films, and each such language has its own page. Languages in turquoise are on this page, below.

I haven't been able to enjoy the films that do not offer English subtitles, but one of my favorites is the Czech "Metrensky Incident," http://startrekreviewed.blogspot.com/2009/06/85.html . Last I checked, they were working on a follow-up film, but I haven't contacted them recently.

I have Borg War 2: The Romulan Factor and Borg War 3: Atlantis on DVD, made in 1996 and 1998 in Germany respectively. Both feature length

This is thanks to the late composer Bernd Felsberger who scored the latter, I'm not a German speaker but they look good!

The first film aesthetically matches the mid-TNG era quite well; Voyager uniforms, square back combadges and very good physical sets; bare in mind this was before the digital revolution. The 3rd one changes the sets and uniforms and apparently played in German cinemas!

Obviously there was a Borg War 1 but I don't have that, but a photo I saw decipted the bridge crew on an Ent- D set in very TNG series uniforms, the counsellor had a Troi depress!

Overall it was interesting to see pre-HF TNG fan films. Btw, the director Rene vin Bodisco played one Captain Christopher Riker, who looks a lot like Will...

I'm gonna say Star Trek: Intrepid just in hopes that Nick will repost that little promo he and Lucie did a few years ago - I can't find it online.

Was that the greeting we did for Hidden Frontier's Excelsior Ball? I might have it somewhere. Our director, Steve, got quite offended about that, even though we were just poking fun at the people complaining about our 'thick' accents. :)

So, Scottish English is now a foreign language? Weird.

Coming from Somerset, England, this is perhaps my favourite foreign language production. Unfortunately it does not come with English subtitles available. :p

Warning: It’s a bit sweary, I think - without subtitles I can’t be sure.

The universal translators had no chance.

Yeah, I think you had it posted in your old forums or something? I thought it was pretty witty and self-effacing. But then, that's just you. ;)

My favorite foreign-language production this morning was the German-language leaked version of the teaser trailer for Star Trek Beyond.

At first I thought you were joking about this. You have made my day. The English version in now on Youtube.

Just in case people thought I was being serious with my previous post, I love Scotland and the accents. I used to have a Scottish girlfriend who had a very deep accent. This was sometimes a problem though, because whenever she was upset with me I had no idea what she was saying. In an argument she would ask me a question expecting an answer and I would have to say, “Please can you repeat the question!”

I also love Intrepid. I can’t wait for your next episode.

Also thanks to everyone who has posted to this thread so far. I have enjoyed watching the shows that you have suggested. :bolian:
