What are your favorite 'Retread' or 'Rehash' episodes?

The first couple seasons of Next Gen had a lot of mini-rehashes of elements of TOS stories. Isn't Measure of a Man the one that starts out like Court Martial, with Picard knowing the opposing lawyer as an old girlfriend, and meeting her for drinks?

Duet/Jetrel is kind of a reach. The only thing the episodes really have in common is they involve guilt over atrocities committed by an invading race.

I liked Doctor's Orders.

No one has mentioned The Naked Time and The Naked Now? Probably the most blatant examples for the topic.

Here's another good one
BLOlKy1.jpg

-They both start with an accident
-A new character is introduced that has something of the old character(s) in him
-He's a fully conscious person
-He has the romantic interest of the original(s)
-He has all the competency of the original
-To revive the person(s) lost in the accident, he must give his life.
-They both refuse to give up their new life to revive... (Trip, or Tuvok and Neelix)
-Both Archer and Janeway will order the procedure done anyway.

The end is slightly different, as Sim eventually volunteers so that Archer isn't forced to do it. The doctor carries out the procedure with Sim's blessing.

While Tuvix refuses to the end, and tries to use Kes to change Janeway's mind. This totally backfires. Janeway was on the fence about what to do. She is now resolute and orders the procedure done. The doctor refuses. Janeway does it herself.

VOY's Cathexis vs. DS9 The Adversary.

Hunt the alien on board that can look like (or take over) anyone, and get the entire crew extremely paraonoid in the process! (even if this was a constant threat during the dominion war).

I Think I like The Adversary more (though I like Cathexis, too).

Another couple of TNG mini-rehashes of TOS: The ends of WSHL and Home Soil are rehashes of the end of TOS's "Arena". The alien saying we're too primitive and aggressive, come back in a thousand years... Only in WSHL it's utterly and totally shoehorned in incoherently, since what we just witnessed from this being was cruelty and violence for no good reason. We're too aggressive for you... I see...
----------------------
WSHL is a slapped-together composite of various blatant rehashes. The idea of selecting a huge portion of the crew to die in sadistic experiments was taken from Space:1999's "End of Eternity", where it was done much better. This ep is like the clips episode, except it's clips from other scripts, not film clips...

I feel like I should be able to name heaps of these but when I think about it mine seem pretty flimsy. Like the befriending the evil enemy episodes, with friendly Borg in I, Borg, friendly Jem Hadar in The Abandoned and friendly Borg in Drone. I'm convinced there must be a whole bunch for episodes like Home Soil/The Devil in the Dark where some "monster" is attacking somewhere but it's actually protecting itself; maybe Evolution counts as well. Or stubborn colony people like The Ensigns of Command and Journey's End. Like I said, I don't know if these count or not.

I personally can't think of anymore complete retreads, so I guess it's on to partial retreads.

How about:
Arena-->The Last Outpost
Balance of Terror--The Neutral Zone
Journey to Babel-->Babel One
The Wrath of Khan-->The Augments

"The Big Goodbye" is better than "A Fistful of Datas" and "Our Man Bashir" is not bad at all.
