What are your controversial Star Trek opinions?

Hannibal Lecter is NOT a worse serial killer than I am because Hannibal Lecter is not actually a serial killer.
This is reminding me of Anselm's proof of the existence of god. Simplifying from memory, God is the ultimate good, and a good that exists is greater than a good that is imaginary, therefore God exists. (I did not find it convincing and decided a philosophy major wasn't for me.)

Yeah, there's certainly are a lot of leaps in that "logic".

And real psychiatric treatment is slow and would not make good television.
Which is why I am ok with O'Brien's suicide story ending with his accepting his problems. It could have been mentioned in passing, but showing his therapy directly would not only consume time, but also require experts. And oh so much could go wrong.

By contrast, mental health issues became all consuming when Crazy Ex-Girlfriend pivoted toward the end of season two. It worked though because it had already built up a framework to switch between being quirky and serious.

He also didn't know that Klingons used to have smooth foreheads.
Starfleet is apparently pretty good about burying information.

Kor
Staefleet hadn't remaster the original 79 episodes into 5000000K, so Bashir found them unwatchable.

I was just making a Brady Bunch joke…
Ah. That explains why it totally went over my head. Brady Bunch is one of the few classic TV shows I know virtually nothing about. It was before my time and out of my wheelhouse.

Now had it been a Green Acres joke, I'd be all over that like Arnold the Pig on a stack of hotcakes.

There is also beef bacon. I understand that it is very expensive.

But, one must always bring home the bacon, which is why Star Trek, was started, to bring home the bacon.

Hortas like bacon made from Class F Shuttlecraft.

Can you sing the Brady Bunch theme song? Every American is required to know the Brady Bunch theme song. If you can't sing it, you get deported.

Here is my controversial opinion for this thread, which I will claim is related to Star Trek since both Kelsey Grammer and Kirstie Alley were in Trek...

Fraiser Crane was a much better character on Cheers than on his own show.

agreed. He grew as a character on Cheers. He seemed to regress somewhat on his own show.
