What are your alternative headcanons for the James Bond movies?

I'm gonna start with OHMSS one of my faves

It was an inside job.

MI6 did not really wish to lose one if its most successful agents in Bond because marriage might change him and make him less effective so they kind of tipped off the assassin about where Bond would be and Tracy was shot.

After DIE ANOTHER DAY, two more James Bonds were separately but equally activated. The second was Daniel Craig, under a character alias. The first, also aliased, was Colin Salmon's character.

That's not quite what I meant. Of course Bond is more or less an action movie, but it does have a formula to go along with it, whereas Quantum did not. That one was more of a straight-up action movie eschewing much of the standard Bond formula.
