9-1-1 Nashville.
I just can't buy Chris O'Donnell & Jessica Capshaw as the leads. The rest of the cast is fine, I buy the camaraderie. After years of Grey's Anatomy, Capshaw doesn't play the powerful, confident southern belle. O'Donnell feels like he's cruising on auto pilot. He lacks the empathy and realism that both Peter Krause and Rob Lowe showed in their respective 9-1-1 outings. I don't feel any chemistry between them as a supposed to be married couple.
I'm also confused what the point of having LeAnn Rimes is now, since we've apparently ditched the plan to extort money from Chris O'Donnell after four episodes.
It just feels like a mishmash of catastrophic events so far, jumping from tornado to a city wide hacker attack. For the first seven episodes, the characters aren't being allowed to build anything besides running and shouting. It's break neck pace, even for a 9-1-1 series.
