What are you watching???

I finally sat down & watched Netflix's Daredevil. You know.... it's not half bad, probably the best casting of Frank Castle & Wilson Fisk I could ever imagine.

^ I enjoyed season 1--far more than I thought I would. Hubby made me watch Jessica Jones first and I can't say I was all that fond of it. But Daredevil really grew on me--especially with Vincent D'Onofrio being such an oddly appealing villain.

Watched Happy Valley and Agent's of SHIELD.

So, SOOO very happy that I stumbled upon "Happy Valley." What a great show!

Christmas Carol: The Movie

A 2001 animated adaptation of the story. I like the story in general, so I like seeing adaptations I've never seen before. This one was ok, but not great. it had a few interesting twists (like featuring Scrooge's love interest Belle in more of the story then just flashbacks), but it had some unneeded stuff as well (like comedy relief mice, but to be fair they were annoying but didn't talk). It also had the most rushed, most poorly done Marley scene I've ever seen in an adaptation of the story, even giving it points for having Nic cage of all people voicing Marley. The animation went from good to lacking at times, but was generally serviceable. Overall, its worth a watch if you really like A Christmas Carol in general, like I do, but outside of that its harmless but very skippable.

Dug out my box set of "The West Wing" - watched first 2 seasons in a week, dam I love this show.

A Christmas Carol (1971)

A 25 minute animated adaptation. Its art style was interesting and set the mood well. It was a more straightforward adaptation then most of the animated versions seem to be, which was nice. its big problem was that it felt like it was on fast forward, going through scenes as quick as possible and having either a narrator or Scrooge himself hurry up lines and parts of the plot. So, it was nice to look at, and interesting to watch, but way too rushed to be more then just an ok adaptation.

I started rewatching The West Wing just after thanksgiving. I'm in season 7, just watched episodes 13. Still think it's the best show.

I just finished a total rewatch of the West Wing. I started a few days after thanksgiving, so 9 or 10 days to get through all 7 seasons isn't too bad. It's where I disappeared to from the board, need a little break after the election. At least The West Wing made me feel a little better, so now I can carry on with the rest of my life.

An embarrassment of riches tonight on TV: Flash, Teen Wolf, Good Behavior, and Agents of Shield. I probably only have time to watch one of them tonight so which will I choose?

Leaning toward Good Behavior. Really want to know what happens to Lettie next.
