I was last watching Kingdom. I hate ITV, it was absolutely cruel of them, to cancel this super-amazing show after such a short period of time. That was also the worst cliffhanger ever. It would have been fantastic if they continued but the ending they have leaves SO MANY BURNING QUESTIONS DANGIT

The 2008 version of The Day the Earth Stood Still.

For once, I don't get the hate for this movie. Yes, it has today's family-related, crybaby, over-emotional angst (a requirement for storytelling anymore), and I still believe the 1951 version is the better film, but I also like this one.

I don't "hate" the 2008 version, I just thought it was as good as a 'Hallmark direct to video"-film would be; it had none of the qualities a modern audience have come to expect of a cinematically released film nor any of the eeriness of the 1951 version (and NO humour whatsoever).
