What are you watching?

^^ Actually, no, although I probably should. Maybe I will. I'll definitely record Cyclops. The other will probably be Village Of The Giants, but maybe Queen Of Outer Space. I'll decide at the last second.

^Oh, the horror of choice :rommie:

ETA:
Back when I was a young teen the third German channel often had films like these on late at night...

Only one awake in the house, headphones plugged into my TV so no-one would hear what I was up to on a school-night, no lights on -for the same reason.

Some of those films are actually somewhat scary when you watch then like that! No wonder it was hard falling asleep afterwards :rommie:

Getting up in the morning wasn't too easy either.

Ahh, Good Times.

i've got it on TMC now, didn't know they were playing old b-movies. i'm gonna try and watch Mars Needs Women and Cyclops, as i've never seen those two.

Ouch. Mars Needs Women is to be avoided at all costs, despite the presence of Yvonne Craig.

TCM is doing the Drive-In movie thing every Thursday in June.

^ Really? I didn't realize CNN was showing it. Wow, im very surprised. I watch Court TV (or whateverthehelltheycallitnow)... I wish i had become a CSI.

aw, Yvonne Craig was the main reason i had for watching it. it can't be that bad can it? i mean, i made it through Plan 9 and Beast of Yucca Flats.

The Casey Anthony Trial. (Hangs head in shame)

Kind of hard to avoid it, though. I'm trying to watch CNN for, you know, ACTUAL news, but the damn trial is on most of the day.

The other night I turned it on CNN to see if they had any coverage on the Riots in Vancouver and ran into this? I don't know anything about it (Should I), but I couldn't believe no one in the American News Circuit was covering what was going on. It was kind of ridiculous if you ask me.

I recently discovered the my local library has several collections of Doctor Who DVD's and I've decided to take advantage of them.

I'm currently making my way through the William Hartnell years and am on "The Keys of Marinus" storyline.

The last Doctor Who and Cylcops.

Plan 9 is entertainingly bad, as all Ed Wood's movies are. I'm not sure if I've seen Beast, but if it's the one I think it is, it was too home movie-ish to be enjoyable. But Mars Needs Women was just too painfully amateurish-- the awkward teleportation cuts, the stock football footage-- and Yvonne Craig didn't even take off her clothes or anything.

Beast of Yucca Flats has Tor Johnson running around like a mindless zombie. i really don't think Ed Wood's movies are all that bad. thanks for the warning about Mars Needs Women though. even with the worst movies there is usually something to enjoy, intentional or not.

Just returned from seeing Jimmy Carr on tour. He seemed shorter in real life. (Then again, most people I see live on stage also seem that way.)
