What are you reading?

The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith (aka J.K Rowling). This is the followup to the debut, The Cuckoo's Calling. The first book was OK, The best part for me was the relationship between Cormoran and his sidekick. The followup is already much better and you can tell Rowling is more comfortable with the characters and is more fun as a result.

I finished Don't Turn Around by Michelle Gagnon this morning. I have some books on the way and hope to get one or two of them in the mail today. :D

I am not reading anything at the moment. I am counting down the hours until my pre-order of Beyond the Ice Limit by Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child is available got download (in about 4 more hours). It is the 4th book in the Gideon Crewe series.

Doing a complete Dresden Files re-read since the new one is taking forever, up to Side Jobs so far.
Yeah, me too. He has a short story starring Molly Carpenter in an anthology he's editing that comes out in November. I hope he gets back to Dresden soon.

Extreme Prey, by John Sandford. A good, quick, fun read. And very timely -- a plot to assassinate a female Democratic candidate for President.

For the reading challenge, this is the book published in 2016.

I buy dead tree books, e-books and audiobooks. There are advantages of all three. However as I grow older and my eyesight poorer dead tree books are being bought less than they used to be

She answered

Nothing can beat the emotional attachment of a book. "dead tree book" ???? Seriously?? I'm sure all "forms" of books have some drawbacks. What a ridiculous comment.

Sounds like she just wanted to see herself talk.

Edited to add a book... The Bitter Season, by Tami Hoag. Way more gruesome than I normally read, but the psychological aspects were interesting enough to keep me going. Not sure what kind of dreams I'm going to have tonight, though. :(

And oversensitivity reaches a new high. Or low. You should now start using the term "Dead Tree Book" in very post. Or shorten it to DTB, just to really tweak her. :rommie:
