What are you reading?

I finish Event by David Lynn Golemon, I was underwhelmed by the book. I did like two of the characters - the little alien and the old prospector.

I am now listening to The Calling by Inger Ash Wolfe, narrated by Bernadette Dunne. It is a novel about a serial killer, the mystery is not who the killer is but how is he locating his victims.

The Face of Battle by John Keegan.

Practically every book on military history I've read that's been published since the 1970's mentions the methods of analysis proposed by Keegan. I figured it was time it give it a shot.

Currently reading Borderline by Lawrence Block, an early 1960s' pulp novel of his that's been rereleased. I was in Vegas last week and it seemed appropriate reading matter! It's good so far, though very lurid.

I'm reading the complete inventory of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea Air Force and Navy... Its a great read

The Lost Art of Dress: The Women Who Once Made America Stylish, by Linda Przybyszewski

The Whole Enchilada
, by Diane Mott Davidson

Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, by Rick Riordan. I enjoyed his Percy Jackson series, but only made it halfway through this book, which is the first volume of a new trilogy.

I just started Rendezvous with Rama by Arthur C. Clarke. I heard about it while watching a youtube video, and the premise seemed interesting. I usually find it almost impossible to get through old Sci Fi books (outside of the Dune series, anything pre-1980 or so usually bores me a lot), but its pretty interesting so far.

That may have been the last King novel I read. It really took me back to the flying saucer paperbacks of the 60s. The George Adamski-type stuff.

I need recommendations, I have 2 Audible credits to use and I don't know what to buy,

I have read all the Douglas Preston/Lincoln Child books. I especially loved their Pendergast series.

I enjoyed Mr Mercedes and Finders Keepers and am looking forward to the next in the series but I am not sure if there is any other Stephen King I want to read.

I loved the Odd Thomas series by Dean Koontz, I would consider other books by him if recommended.

I love Scandanavian crime fiction but none of my favourite authors (Karin Fossum, Arnaldur Indridason, Viktor Arnar Ingolfsson, Carin Gerhardsen, Jorn Lier Horst, Jorgen Brekke) have new books at present.

I am currently listening to A Long Time Until Now by Michael Z Williamson, narrated by Dennis Holland. Not overly enjoying it, it is a bit repetitive and the characters are a bit too whiny.
