What are you most looking forward to in DIS season 2. From memory these are the only plot threads that will continue over into the next season.

1). Section 31: We don't know what their planning and what effects this could have on the Discovery crew
2). Klingon War: How will L'Rell cope with being the leader of the Empire and what plans does she have for it
3). The Enterprise: What was Pike distress calling them for and what will Anson Mount be like as the new Pike.
4). Burnham: Will she still be hated by some people for her actions during the first series and will she be able to go back to normal.
5). Stamets and Culber: With Wilson Cruz confirmed for a return in Season 2; this means Stamets will probably still be grieving the death of his partner and how will Culber return?

I am looking forward to it starting to new closer to the timeline tbh. And I do think that will happen.
I am also hoping for a few more characters to actual get some breathing room, as at the moment, it’s all angst at the front and left-tenant (yes, I know.) no name but look at the face everywhere else.
Some better ship FX would be nice too, and I think it’s gonna happen...
Personally I hope the section 31 stuff goes no-where, because really...that’s a dead end story every time it comes up.

I don't think the Stamets story line is done, by a long shot. Culber is still out there in some form. I'm curious to see how that threads through the series. They were the best couple Trek has had, and I don't think it is over yet.

The problem is, if Culber is out there in some form, there’s either gonna be some heavy technobabble, or the religion versus science debate in Trek is over, and Dawkins lost. (Again. Step forward Spock son of Sarek, and McCoy, son of David.)
Which I am ok with if handled well on either front...but Culber wasn’t sucked up by the Nexus, he was physically killed.
Unless a side effect of Mushroom drives is functional immortality, there’s not a lot can be done, he’s dead Jim. Shame. But there it is.

I guess from what we know so far (virtually nothing), visiting the re-imagined Enterprise and maybe meeting a new Spock.

Unless his consciousness is somehow inside the mycellium network, which is no more outlandish than Vulcan souls in terracotta pots.

I chose Pike, Enterprise, Spock, etc. because that was the only choice out of those I was most interested in.

Section 31 has been done to death and we've seen enough overdone Klingon sequences in Season 1.

The choice I would have picked more than anything was to have the series live up to the double meaning of the title, Discovery. New worlds, new civilizations.

I picked Pike / Enterprise...but really I'm looking forward to proceeding with a clean slate, breaking free from most of S1. I'm sure there will be carry-over from last season, but I'm not particularly interested in that. I found last season to be very entertaining, but also flawed and filled with missed opportunities.

I'd like to see the new staff truly move forward with their own vision and storyline this season...something cohesive that they are all bought-into and behind creatively. I think that S2 is really critical to the direction of the franchise, so I've got very high hopes that they really hit it out of the park and come up with an engaging, thoughtful, fun story that sets its own path.

Absolutely not, but...so would the rest of the crew be there? Just the dead ones? Lorca? It’s a can of worms. Which like I said, I am fine with them going down that route in the story, but I bet the backlash will be intense.
