There's more Star Trek coming. A lot more.

The days of a new movie every few years and nothing else are long gone. We've got a fourth Kelvin Universe movie coming in a couple of years, an unrelated Quentin Tarantino movie coming after that, a second season of Discovery arriving at the end of this year, rumours of a second CBS Trek series or mini-series and potential of more Star Trek novels and comics, contract negotiations permitting.

I remember right before Beyond's premiere seeing JJ reveal the plot of the next film, brining back George Kirk and thinking it was such a cool idea to use sci-fi to resolve Jim's daddy issues. But after Beyond's commercial failure I had zero real expectations of this happening. But now it is!

DISCO season 2
Season one had one plot twist I hated passionately (Lorca being an evil mirror infiltrator) and the finale was a damp squib, but I'm curious what season 2 will bring us. We've got a new Enterprise to explore and new versions of Pike, Spock and others to meet. Hopefully this season will come to a satisfying crescendo rather than a hurried mishmash which gave the impression they began the storylines with no idea how they were going to end them.

Warm fuzzy 90's Trek nostalgia. Please no more holodeck episodes.

I'm curious what it'll be like, but it's too far off to get hyped about it. We know nothing except he's spoken of remaking "City on the Edge of Forever" and "Yesterday's Enterprise" and we'll probably get gratuitous shots of Uhura's feet.

I'm looking the most forward to DSC Season 2. I'm very curious about Tarantino Trek. It'll be something different.

I'll probably enjoy Star Trek 4 but until it comes out it's out of sight, out of mind. No particular rush.

Don't know about a second CBSAA series. Depends on what it's about.

I’m looking forward to Discovery season 2 and the speculated Pike spin off.

I’ll watch Orville when it’s on a streaming service from the beginning. New Kelvin Trek stuff I’ll watch but I’m no rush. Tarantino thing could be the most awesomey awesomeness the trek world ever spawned, but I’m not looking forward to it.

The books, I just picked up some Diane Duane novels I’ve been meaning to read since I was twelve. Much catching up to do.

Disco could be anywhere from great to terrible. Orville will definitely be just pretty good.
