What are you doing at this moment?

Nursing a fading headache and working myself into bed with a DVD of The Toxic Avenger Part III. Something cozy about having all of these extras featuring interviews and other Troma-tastic stuff.

Had the blue screen of death on the computer. It said it was hard drive failure. I ran the HP disc utility and the fast scan found no errors. I exit the utility, and a new message says no OS is present, so the boot sector is hosed. Shut down the computer, and swapped the bad boot sector disk with a cloned backup HDD from the middle of last month. The computer comes back up fine, I insert the removed HDD in an external caddy and can find all the data. I copied the two weeks of missing data from the hosed drive to the installed one, including the updated profiles on the web browser. Now I'm ordering a new replacement 2 TB SATA HDD from Amazon for my monthly cloning routine.

Attacking the artistic merit of my 100+ 'art figurine' (I swear if he just named it something else it'd be at least slightly less expensive like all the other 1/6 figures and I wouldn't have to deal with chinese pre-orders) by choosing to figure out which WW2 themed outfit to give her considering the bits of random clothing I have in her scale.

Looking at houses on Redfin. Someone built a $10 million mansion on the waterfront, which is fine. But it's smack dab in between two apartment complexes that stretch out further into the water than the house does, meaning there are dozens of apartments on each side that can look into every window of three sides of the house. And the fourth side faces a busy street, so there's no privacy at all unless you keep the drapes closed at all times and cover up the waterfront view.

Watching (a day late) the Groundhog Day ceremony at Punxsatawney...
Phil saw his shadow
...and looking out at the snow on the ground, since school is closed for the day, so I'm not working.

Wearing my new ankle gumboots round the house to break them for dog sitting next weekend.

Realising that no-one says "gumboot" these days...

Wearing my new ankle WELLINGTONS round the house....
